Yesterday, through Sustainable Jersey Small Grants Program, funded by Walmart, Sustainable Mullica was awarded a $1,000 Capacity-Building Grant. Both President of Sustainable Mullica, Committeeperson Susan Polk and Mayor Michael St. Amour were present for the Grant Media Conference held in Long Branch, NJ.
Susan submitted a three page plan describing what has been accomplished since Sustainable Mullica's inception, as well as goals for 2010-2011 as the application for this grant. The Capacity-Building Grant will be used for purchasing copy paper, copying materials, education resources (posters, charts, books, DVD's, etc), Anti-Idling signs, updating our Natural Resources Inventory, supplies to plant gardens and clothes lines.
