Also, for those involved with the school, there is an Adopt-a-Schoolyard Program. You can contact ACUA through their website and get on board. It is a great way to do worthwhile work and make a little extra money for other good causes!
In the interest of keeping our Green Team creative, fresh and innovative we will no longer have regular monthly meetings. The meetings were definitely needed to kick off our work and get the ball rolling. Our actions are now completed by action leaders, small committees and individuals committed to their work. Mullica Township Clothing Drive Fundraiser
The Mullica Township PTA is holding a Clean Out your Closet clothing and more drive during the month of May. (please see link above for acceptable items and where you can drop them off). This is a great chance to clean out your closets and donate to a great cause all at the same time.

"Purge the Plastic" Pledge
Sustainable Mullica, with the help of Emily Schlee and friends will have a table set up at the elementary school entrance during the parent-teacher conferences on 2/11, 2/14 and 2/15 where they will be handing out "Plastic Bag Fact Sheets" and "Reduce Your Use" Pledge forms. These forms can also be downloaded here, filled out and brought into the elementary or middle school offices to the attention of Jean Gallagher. You can also bring in the filled out form to the Sustainable Mullica meeting, scheduled for Monday, January 28th.
The first 100 to take the pledge will get a free, unbleached cotton, made in the USA, reusable grocery bag with the Sustainable Mullica logo on it.

Waste Management Program launched at Mullica's Schools
Gayle and Gary Brill have launched their Waste Management Program in our Mullica Township School cafeteria. A special thanks goes out to Gayle & Gary, Doreen Khebzou, Jennifer Polidoro, Pat McCarthy, Roseanne Fittipaldi, Roseanne Lugg and the students for their great effort with the first trash audit. Gayle will now begin her education/outreach part of the program and try to reduce the waste. Stay tuned to learn more and remember to try your best to lessen your impact on the environment!
